Neon Flowers

I was asked to make these cookies for a teenage girl's birthday.  She wasn't sure what she wanted and looked around on the net for some ideas and decided she wanted "neon colored flowers". I was quite skeptical, wasn't sure they'd look good but I figured I'd do my best and hope she liked what I made.  I am quite happy with the results.

 

 

 

 

 

Valentine's Cookies 2012

Here are the cookies I made for Valentines day.  I tried to improve the designs from last year.  I have taken elements from cookies I have seen and liked. Valentines is one of my favorite cookie making holidays.  In an email conversation with someone who is my cookie "mentor" I said "I found my bliss, who knew it would take the form of pink royal icing".

I like these little rosebuds. I have seen them on other cookies and cakes and wanted to learn how to make them.

 

 

The stems still need some work, I was having icing issues. :-)

 

I saw someone else use black on their cookies I think it really pops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

A couple of the dots got smashed, picked up too early.

 

Simple design, but I kind of like it.

 

I need to come up with something to do at the base for the stems.

Baby (Girl) Shower Cookies

A friend of mine asked me to make some cookies for a baby shower she was throwing, this is what I came up with. Some people looked at the cookies, then looked at me and didn't think it added up. In a conversation with one of my Internet Idols, Marian of Sweetopia I said about decorating cookies "Hey I have found my bliss, who know it would take the form in pink royal icing!"
